Playfully named the Grenda, the silhouette melds a classic Grenson style and is accentuated with exaggerated tassel detail.

Manufactured entirely in Northamptonshire, England, each pair undergoes a meticulous hand-crafted process that spans up to 8 weeks and involves more than 200 individual operations. Central to the process is the celebrated Goodyear Welted technique, an English innovation from the 19th Century. Though time consuming, this method ensures unparalleled durability and longevity, distinguishing Grenson shoes from all others.

The Goodyear Welted construction not only endows the shoes with remarkable strength but also allows for multiple re-soling’s, enhancing their lifespan and making them a valuable investment. Every step in the intricate shoemaking process reflects the unwavering commitment to quality and tradition, ensuring that every Grenson X Emilia Wickstead shoe is a reflection of craftsmanship and timeless style.

The Grenda loafers are crafted from Premium bookbinder leather known for its polished, fixed finish. The unique leather undergoes a process at the tannery whereby two colours are applied; a base colour followed by a darker topcoat. Skilled artisans then hand-apply wax to either cut back the top colour, revealing lighter tones beneath, or to polish the topcoat, resulting in a sealed finish that is not only easy to care for but also exceptionally durable. The intricate colouring process imparts a rich, antiquated appearance with a variety of tones, ensuring the uniqueness of each pair.
